BOOK IN
Book your little one into our before or after school clubs in Leigh-on-Sea, making sure you make the most of tax-free childcare or any childcare vouchers you may have access to.

HANDOVER
Dependent on whether you’ve booked before or after school childcare, we’ll either pick up your child at their allocated finishing time, or drop them off in time for school; both via walking bus from our hall.

Our DBS checked staff are passionate about looking after your little ones and will ensure they are entertained at every opportunity through a wide range of activities, which change on a daily basis.

EAT
Leave the food to us; both our before & after school clubs include the price of breakfast or a light dinner snack so be sure to list any dietary requirements on your intake form. Keep scrolling to view our daily food offer.

Once you’ve collected your child from our after school club or we’ve dropped them to school from breakfast club, rinse and repeat the process! Our childcare process is that simple - hurrah!
Arrivals and departures
We provide a walking bus from Leigh North Street to Active Academy, Maple Avenue, where we host our unrivalled before and after school clubs.
Breakfast club begins at 7.30am at Leigh Cliff Buildings, and we depart at 8.20am to ensure children arrive at Leigh North Street for their allocated time.
For children attending after school club, members of the dedicated Active Academy team will collect children from the classes stated on their intake form, before returning to Active Academy via walking bus. After school club ends at 5.45pm.
Food
The children’s club price includes food which consists of:
Breakfast - a choice of cereals, crumpets or toast with toppings and a drink.
After-school - a choice of pitta, wrap or sandwich with a choice of fillings, yoghurt, fruit and a drink.
Does your child have dietary requirements or allergies that need to be catered for? No problem - just state it on your intake form and our team will make sure they’re accommodated for.
ACTIVITIES
Activities change daily, but you can expect to see:
Construction, Lego table and board games
Air hockey, football table and shuffleboard
Soft darts
Fitness challenges
Dedicated homework space
Reading nook and bean bag cinema room
Arts & crafts
Phonics, Writing and Maths challenges
Local visits to parks and gardens

With a build-your-own popcorn station (not to be confused with bring-your-own), the children collectively choose a film they’d like to watch, while indulging in a little Friday treat! The perfect way to start the weekend for your child, as well as yourself with a couple of hours child-free!

The system automatically cuts off bookings at 9pm for after school clubs, and 1:30pm for breakfast clubs.
Missed the cut-off? Drop us a message, and if we’re in ratio, we’ll book you on!

Absolutely. You’ll be surprised how many families are actually eligible for tax-free childcare in particular, so we urge you to research it if you’re unsure whether you’re eligible.

Unfortunately, this is a service we cannot provide due to staff:child ratios.

We will require written consent prior, but once this has been received, generally yes. Please contact us so we can assess your needs.

We are very inclusive here at Active Academy and our club is run by two previous teachers, so we’re well equipped to manage a wide range of special education needs.
Be sure to inform us of any additional needs via their intake form upon booking and we will be in touch if we feel we need more guidance or communication from you. This is to ensure your child has the most supportive and comfortable experience with us.

You will be able to book for the next term on the following schedule:
Bookings go live on the 1st Monday of August for the autumn term (September - December)
Bookings go live on the 3rd Monday of December for the spring term (January - Easter)
Bookings go live on the 3rd Monday on March for the summer term (Easter - summer)

You can reschedule your appointment via the ‘view appointment details’ link in your email confirmation for the date you need to change.
If it has passed 24 hours prior to the club commencing, you will be unable to reschedule your appointment as per our Admissions and Fees Policy.

We don’t offer refunds as per our Admissions and Fees policy, however:
We advise rescheduling your appointment via the ‘view booking details’ button in your email confirmation within 24 hours of the club commencing to avoid losing the cost of the booking.
If you are unable to cancel the appointment as per the instructions above, and it is within 24 hours of the club commencing (7:30am for breakfast clubs and 3:00pm for after school clubs), drop us an email with an alternative date and we will reschedule it for you. If you don’t have an alternative date in mind, we will issue you with a voucher code for price of your booking.

Thank you for coming to book your child’s space at Active Academy!
At this current time, you are only able to book all before school clubs in one transaction, then all after school clubs in another transaction. You must check out between booking each type of club. Apologies for the inconvenience - this is to ensure we have accurate registers and is something we are looking into and hope to alter to support our customer booking experience in the near future. Therefore, we suggest booking in bulk to save time with personal admin!
To book multiple dates of the same type of club, please click the first date you wish for your child to attend, then 'add another time', here you will have the option of adding further dates.
To book multiple children in the same transaction, please amend the ‘quantity’ accordingly.
To avoid completing multiple forms in the future, please register for an account with us - you can create your account at the end of the transaction, or hit ‘sign up’ below.
