The Leigh-on-Sea holiday club, committed to adapting activities to suit children’s interests
We’re back this summer with an action-packed holiday club for children aged 4 (who must have started Reception in September 2024) to 11!
Led by experienced school teachers, our Leigh-on-Sea holiday camp is bursting with fun, adventure, and endless smiles.

What’s on the Timetable?
Our timetable for week one of summer holidays is below. However, please note, some groups of children may not be up for what’s on our timetable, in which case, we’ll adapt our plans to ensure their time with us is nothing short of epic. Our previous experience as teachers means we’re continuously flexible with our plans, meeting the needs and interests of all children.
Holiday club timetable for week 1: Water week!
This week includes daily park visits to have some fun in the sun, including water fights, slip ‘n’ slide relays, capture the flag and water balloon longball. If your child will be attending during water week, make sure to pack an extra set of clothes!
Here is an example of a day during water week:
9:00 - 9:30am: Welcome and free play (free access to construction activities, board games, indoor sports stations and drawing station)
9:30 - 10:30am: Indoor sport competition, including shuffleboard, air hockey, table football, arcade pong and much more.
10:30 - 10:45am: Snack break
10:45am - 12:00pm: Create a coiled/pinch pot out of clay
12:00 - 12:30pm: Lunch
12:30 - 1:00pm: Film club
1:00pm - 2:30pm: Park visit including water fights
2:30 - 3:30pm: Free flow construction
3:30 - 4:00pm: Round-up and home time
Tuc Time is Back!

Returning for summer is Active Academy Tuc Time!
Children can purchase an array of mini treats and drinks to keep your little ones fuelled for a day of fun with us here in Leigh-on-Sea.
Please note, our Tuc Time accepts cash only and is not included with your child’s booking. Children’s dietary requirements and allergies will be monitored at Tuc Time in line with their intake form completed upon booking, therefore, please ensure this is kept up-to-date.

Daily Fun: Just £30 per child
Please note, we accept many childcare voucher schemes, as well as Tax-Free Childcare for our holiday clubs. Please head to our Bookings page for more information on how to utilise these schemes.

We’re passionate about inclusivity here at Active Academy and always strive to cater to every child’s needs and interests.
To help us provide the best possible support for your child, it is essential that we are informed of any special educational needs or disabilities prior to attendance. Please ensure you complete the relevant sections on our intake form and use the upload function to provide an ISP or EHCP if applicable.
If your child is accustomed to working in small groups or requires 1:1 support while in our care, it is the parent/carer’s responsibility to inform us with at least 14 days' notice. This allows us sufficient time to arrange additional staff and resources if necessary. We will always do our best to accommodate these needs; however, additional staffing cannot always be guaranteed.
If we determine that your child requires additional support that was not disclosed on the intake form, they may be sent home for safety reasons and invited to return once we can fully accommodate their needs. Please note that refunds will not be issued in this instance. This policy is in place to ensure the wellbeing of all children and staff.
We encourage parents and carers to reach out at their earliest opportunity if their child has SEN so we can work together to provide the best possible support.

Not at all! Our holiday clubs are open to all schools as we are based in our own private hall, just off of Leigh Broadway.

During water week - A BIG YES PLEASE!
AND:
If your child is in infants, prone to accidents or have specific medical needs which may mean they have accidents, we highly recommend they bring a spare change of clothes.
