Returning for May is Active Academy Tuc Time!

Trialled at Easter and here to stay was our new tuc shop, where children can purchase an array of mini treats and drinks to keep your little ones fuelled for a day of fun with us here in Leigh-on-Sea.

Please note, our Tuc Time accepts cash only and is not included with your child’s booking. Children’s dietary requirements and allergies will be monitored at Tuc Time in line with their intake form completed upon booking, therefore, please ensure this is kept up-to-date.

The Nitty Grit Bit: How much is it to attend Active Academy?

  • Daily Fun: Just £30 per child

  • 3-Day Week Adventure (Tuesday-Thursday): Only £80 per child for a 3-day week booking.

  • Please note, we accept many childcare voucher schemes, as well as Tax-Free Childcare for our holiday clubs. Please head to our Bookings page for more information on how to utilise these schemes.

Your Questions, Answered

  • For our Leigh-on-Sea holiday clubs, children will require a packed lunch from home.

  • Yes, we do! Please find all scheme information on our Bookings page.

  • Please contact us should you need us to administer medication for your child.

  • We’re passionate about inclusivity here at Active Academy and always strive to cater to every child’s needs and interests.

To help us provide the best possible support for your child, it is essential that we are informed of any special educational needs or disabilities prior to attendance. Please ensure you complete the relevant sections on our intake form and use the upload function to provide an ISP or EHCP if applicable.

If your child is accustomed to working in small groups or requires 1:1 support while in our care, it is the parent/carer’s responsibility to inform us with at least 14 days' notice. This allows us sufficient time to arrange additional staff and resources if necessary. We will always do our best to accommodate these needs; however, additional staffing cannot always be guaranteed.

If we determine that your child requires additional support that was not disclosed on the intake form, they may be sent home for safety reasons and invited to return once we can fully accommodate their needs. Please note that refunds will not be issued in this instance. This policy is in place to ensure the wellbeing of all children and staff.

We encourage parents and carers to reach out at their earliest opportunity if their child has SEN so we can work together to provide the best possible support.

  • Not at all! Our holiday clubs are open to all schools as we are based in our own private hall, just off of Leigh Broadway.

  • This isn’t a service we offer at this moment in time.

  • If your child is in infants, prone to accidents or have specific medical needs which may mean they have accidents, we highly recommend they bring a spare change of clothes.

  • Sorry for the inconvenience! If you find the date that you require fully booked, please contact us to join our waiting list stating your name, your child’s name and which dates you require and we will add you to the list. Places often pop up with little notice, so you may be in luck!
